Just a week ago, the World Economic Forum released the “Global Competitiveness Index“, where Spain stood out for achieving the highest score in Health. This index evaluates a country not only based on life expectancy, the quality and efficiency of the healthcare system, but also on the quality of its facilities and medical equipment.

Today, on Wednesday, February 26, El Periódico highlights the commitment to cutting-edge technology in Catalan hospitals. At AHEAD Barcelona Healthcare Architecture, we take pride in having participated in two of the standout projects:

1. Hospital Clínic with the Optimus operating room, a prototype of the operating room of the future. It is a state-of-the-art operating room (with a central workspace delimited by an airflow) equipped with screens, colored lights, music, and a Da Vinci Xi robot.

2. Vall d’Hebron Hospital features two hybrid operating rooms, one for vascular surgery and another for neurosurgery, pioneering in Spain.
